PAWNIX Life After the Tank : SharkTank Update 1

Every season, nearly 50,000 companies apply to present their ideas on one of the world’s most popular shows: Shark Tank, but less than 200 get a chance to pitch their ideas and less than 100 of those pitches get aired! PAWNIX Noise Cancelling Headphones for dogs was one! and aired Season 13 episode 17 !

Getting to the point of presenting to the Sharks is a real accomplishment that few have done, so Kirsten and Emma are here to answer all your questions!

Some quick background: Kirsten and Emma went into “the tank” asking for $150,000 for 10% of PAWNIX. They had a great time in the tank, but did not end up securing a deal for PAWNIX. However, what they did secure was experience, valuable exposure and the opportunity to showcase PAWNIX to a vast audience.

During the months following the airing of the Shark Tank – PAWNIX episode, PAWNIX has received increased attention from potential investors, new customers and industry partners due to the organic exposure gained through the Shark Tank appearance. As of July 2023, PAWNIX has not taken on any investors.

Each time the Shark Tank – PAWNIX episode is re-aired, PAWNIX experiences
increased website visits, increased emails and increased sales. Avid Shark Tank
viewers have even reached out to discuss expansion efforts. Regardless of securing a deal with a Shark or not, the show provides significant viewership and helps to increase brand recognition, ultimately making it an overall positive impact to the product and brand.

One questions that seems to keep resurfacing is: “How has the exposure from Shark Tank affected PAWNIX’s customer base?”
PAWNIX’s appearance on Shark Tank has not only helped to grow our customer base, but it has created a new audience who believe in PAWNIX, the product’s importance and the company’s mission statement to remove stress and anxiety from the lives of pets and pet parents.

Another question we seem to get quite often: “Have there been any challenges or obstacles that PAWNIX has faced since appearing on the show?”
We have noticed an increase in overseas competition who have copied the Mutt Muffs (another USA-based company) at a lower price point hat does not have noise cancelling electronics. We support our fellow USA companies, Mutt Muffs and RexSpecs, and recommend them and their customer service over the dupes online. We believe their products can serve pet and pet parents, and that PAWNIX is the premium and most efficient noise cancelling solution on the market.  

Increased competition from overseas companies and the emergence of lower-priced imitations can be a common challenge faced by many innovative companies in any industry, and we are definitely seeing it in the ever-evolving pet industry.  Please support US owned and operated companies, especially small business owners.
